Won’t you remember me is an graphic design project, which as an archive of the second part of the research thesis Traces: ‘Free-assemblage making’ as a method to touch self-narrative, which offers a third perspective on the artist's romantic trajectory through retrospective writing.
The artist employs graphic design and the structure of folded pages to rethink the possibilities of non-linear narratives in two-dimensional space, demonstrating the versatility of flat printed matter. In the moments where memory and urban trace merge, fragmented emotions construct a safe space, forming eerie and unrealistic dream modules.
‘I finally see it. I am, after all, still drawn to that void in desire this desire to be desired. It couldn't help but grieve me, as if it was like a vortex from which there was no escape, and at the centre of which was always the man. ‘
‘The road I was roaming on turned into my dating route in an instant, like a prophecy or a curse. Even after all the efforts, even if the old things become traces of the city, and the old bedroom becomes London, the kernel is still the thirst and desire for unconditional love in the unchanging void. The scale of the space in which the story takes place is enlarged, and my relationship with the city is unconsciously brought closer through the constant desire to fill the void.‘
